I hate it when people say this to me but... I don't see ricci, but I love it. The colour of her eyes is great. I don't know if you were trying for it but it looks like her roots are going out; if you were great bit. I was working on some vectoring for a current contest here. Nobody replied to the post when I asked if attributes like shading and texture to a path still count as vectoring. After seeing this I'm sure it would be worth the extra time layering up some paths for a shaded look. I'm happy to see you're back on the community. I've been told I'll be better off letting go of what others came give me and wondering what I can give to them. I'm starting to see that just being there, being good for others and enjoying my time is where its at.... I'll work on the being good. You have great talent, thanks for sharing.

vectoring is simply the type of program you are using to create the art piece, actually. anyone who tries to pretty it up as something more ... needs a little technology lesson vectors are done in vector format programs( like you're saying, paths and such ) i don't use these, thats all hard hand by hand work in photoshop, each piece is a polygonal lasso tool selection, colour changes included.. if i tried it in a vector program i'd endup with a few thousand little triangles and such.

as for art, i'd suggest doing what i did when i started this style; do something you dont know anyone else is doing, learn your own way, cause man, if i'd have taken anyone's advice on how to do what i do, i wouldn't ever have been able to make this piece here.

Sounds fun... I've used Photoshop over a dozen years (~14) and I've been working with Fireworks a few years now. I just never spent so much time on specific technics. Actually, I don't think I have spent this much time on expressing myself artistically in a decade.
